Dr. Ken Crawford, 1943-2014
Dr. Ken Crawford, Director Emeritus of the Oklahoma Climatological Survey and Regents’ Professor Emeritus of Meteorology at OU, passed away on July 23, 2014, at the age of 71.
Crawford spent 20 years as a senior faculty member in OU’s School of Meteorology. He was described as “an outstanding mentor for young scientists.”

In Memory of Dr. Peter J. Lamb, Director of the Cooperative Institute of Mesoscale Meteorological Studies at the University of Oklahoma and George Lynn Cross Research Professor;
Dr. Peter James Lamb passed away in his home in Norman, Oklahoma, on May 28, 2014. He was born on June 21, 1947, in Nelson, New Zealand, and arrived in the United States in 1971.

Radar Training Program for NIMET Forecasters

The University of Oklahoma's Center for Applied Research and Development/Office of Weather Programs and Projects is hosting a radar training program focusing on applications of radar streams to weather analysis and forecasting on the mesoscale in sub-Saharan Africa.

NWC Seminar Series and Colloquium
