National Weather Center IT Council (NITC)

VISION

The National Weather Center (NWC) will be supported by the Information Technology (IT) necessary to accomplish the teaching, research, and service missions of the University of Oklahoma, communicate information, foster collaboration, and facilitate commerce and economic development and satisfy the operational, training, technology transfer, and research needs of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

This will be accomplished in part by creation of an NWC Information Technology Council (NITC) comprised of one representative from each of the NWC occupants. The chair of the NITC will be selected from its' membership by the Director of the NWC, on the basis of a recommendation from the NITC. The Chair will arrange regular meetings of the Council at a frequency determined by the membership, or at any time when specifically requested by a member.
